In between this week's Pinterest Fail and finishing up banana pudding leftovers, it has been a fairly exciting week here in Munich. I decided this week to take pictures of what we have had going on to share with you on Friday. Please excuse the low quality of my cell phone pictures, life was happening. Here is what this week had in store:
After work Monday I stopped in for a drink at a small neighborhood chocolate and tea shop. When I saw "Eiskaffee" on the menu I didn't think twice. Except... I thought I was ordering coffee poured over ice cubes. Instead I received what basically is a giant rootbeer float but with coffee. Even though I can speak basic German, I completely forgot "Eis" means ice cream not ice cubes. Whoops, thank goodness it turned out to be a pretty sweet mistake.
#2 The Weather
I know the weather isn't the most interesting topic, but guys it has rained and rained and rained a ton more here in Munich the last few weeks. I think I actually said at one point "I miss the 100 degree temperatures back in Texas." Luckily, the rain stopped this week and the sunshine has come back bringing some quite comfortable temps. Summer is back on!
#3 Art Festival
Tuesday after work some teacher friends and I went to a cultural and art festival called Tollwood. It is twice a year, once as a Christmas market and then again in July deep inside Olympia Park (past Olympic grounds) Husband and I are planning to visit Tollwood together on Saturday so you can look for a full feature sometime next week! I'm looking forward to trying some Moroccan foods and some colorful gypsy styled pants caught my eye.

#4 I Scream, You Scream
Last night Husband, Shelby Dog, and I spent the evening in our local town center. We got ice cream and sat for a while inside a little park visiting and people watching. It was nice to spend some time with Husband enjoying the outdoors together. Plus Shelby thought she would love some mint chocolate chip!
Is it bad half of my week's highlights include ice cream? I will tell you, I did pass up the chance to eat a Dunkin' Donut this week. So that's something right?
What is your go-to summer treat?
